Foods for wrinkles and dry skin

Foods that moisten the blood

That's a weird concept! How can blood be moistened, it's already a liquid! True but not quite.
As well as having to be rich in nutrients, blood has to have the right amount of liquid, always according to TCM of course. Without it, the internal organs will be dry and they will affect the body.
How can that happen? Blood dryness can be caused by exposure to hot weather over time, too dry, spicy foods, too much alcohol or drugs, staying up late at night, too much work, always been on the run, some medicines, not drinking enough water.
Signs of "dry" blood:
  • Dry cracked skin
  • Dry eyes
  • Dry mouth
  • Thirst
  • Little urine
  • Sore tendons and crackling joints
  • Irritability
  • Insomnia
  • Dry hair, nails
  • Wrinkly skin
Here are foods that moisten the blood:
Grains: Buckwheat, millet couscous, wheat
Vegetables: Asparagus, mungbeans sprouts, potato, seaweed, squash, spinach, string bean, tomato, yam, black mushroom
Seaweed: Kelp, nori
Fruit: Apple, banana, mango, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, plum, pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry
Beans: Black bean, kidney, lima, mung, peas, soybean black, tofu
Seeds: Flax, sesame, pine kernel
Fish: Abalone, clam, crab, eel, mullet, octopus, oyster, sardine, scallop, whitebait
Meat: Beef, chicken liver, duck, goose, pork, rabbit
Dairy: Butter, cheese, eggs, duck egg, chee, milk, goat's milk, yogurt
Herbs: marjoram, nettle
Condiments: Sesame oil, honey, linseed, coconut milk, soya milk
Teas: Chrysanthemum, black cohosh, borage, American ginseng
